Galette des Rois

This weekend I’ve found that whenever I cough, or when I can actually cough, I get a stabbing pain in my side. It’s very ominous, like the pain I had when I broke a rib clean in two, again from coughing 5 or 6 years ago. I’m determined to get over it though, as since the beginning of December I’ve not been feeling quite right.

This afternoon we managed a wander around the village with Rémy – and just came home as it began to rain. As Thumper was feeding Rémy, BIL phoned to ask if we wanted to come round for a piece of “Galette des Rois” and a glass of cider. We had both clean forgot to buy our own Galette, and the people from the Mairie who usually come round selling them, seemed to have missed us out.

Anyway we had a nice piece round FIL’s with the rest of Thumpah’s family.

We’ll get our own tomorrow, or rather Thumpah will. Meantime I’m going to get an early night. Thumpah has a hospital appointment tomorrow morning so we’ll have an earlier start than usual. I did take some photos during our little wander earlier – but I can’t be bothered to upload them to Flickr to display on here. Bleh!
