    20. Yuk !
    24. Good one!
    25. I know how it feels – obviously you avoided Emmerdale last week…..or perhaps never watch it!?
    28. Hey – I’m not doing it again!
    29. A full nappy surely…..?

  2. Thanks for the tag–we’ll see if Griffin lets me get around to answering the questions!

I love tartiflette. Whenever I can find reblochon cheese here in the States, I make a vegetarian version of it! Hooray for stinky Alpine cheese. (I spent a year in Chambery, where I was introduced to those good “-ette” dishes like tartiflette and raclette.)

  3. I answered mine while Rémy was asleep 😉 One of the drawbacks is that I don’t get to have lunch until 2pm, but then I have time to have a break and do any other stuff till around 4pm.

As for Tartiflette. Did you know that this isn’t a French traditional dish? The marketing people at Reblochon came up with a ploy back in the 1970’s abd created this recipie to sell more cheese!
    I like it uncooked too.
Oh and Raclette… don’t get me onto eating that as I never know when to stop! We have it with potato, charcuterie and cornichons…. YUM!

Hope Griffin isn’t disturbing you too much at night…

  4. I guess tartiflette is the French version of the American Thanksgiving classic green bean casserole topped with fried onions!

I remember once in a cheese shop in France the owner was horrified that I was planning to eat my reblochon uncooked–but my good friend from a village in the Alps reassured me that they always eat it as part of their cheese course.

Kylee–I’m so glad you came to visit!

  5. I like Reblochon uncooked too, when cooked it’s a totally different taste.

Last night I had cuisse de canard aux haricot blancs – was very nice, but it gave me bad heartburn.
