Public transport has never been brilliant through our village, we have always been bypassed by bus services and those services that exist to other surrounding villages are pretty infrequent.
The only regular buses we see are those serving the local colleges. One to the high school in Ballancourt, to the south of us and another to the upper college in Mennecy to the north of us.
This semi-coach is coming from the former to go to the latter, on the road into our village. The driver looks bemused, perhaps as I had my foot on Dolly’s lead as I took the photo.
Since January a proper bus service started, between here (we are the terminus) and the nearest city about 10 miles away. During rush hours there is a 30 minute headway. During the day this drops to one bus an hour. I suppose it is a start…
